Job Description
JOB SUMMARYPerforms a variety of imaging procedures using both stationary and portable equipment. Procedures are performed throughout the hospital as well as in surgery and the emergency room. Services are delivered to all age groups. The Radiologic Technologist is responsible for patient safety protocols. Works closely with the Radiologists to provide imaging needs to consumers. Participates in CQI activities.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESDemonstrates Competency in the Following Areas:Education/Regulatory Requirements:High School graduate or equivalent.Graduation from an AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology.Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.Certified by the State of Mississippi to practice and administer radiation.Current BCLS certification.Skills:Moderate to advanced computer and data entry skills.Good communication skills; both listening and speaking.All clinical skills associated with that of a Radiologic technologist; positioning, technique, anatomy, IV maintenance.
