The Opportunity
The Technical Program Facilitator (TPF) is a full-time member of the University technical faculty, responsible for supporting the operational needs, strategic direction, and programs for our Cybersecurity program. You will report to the Senior Associate Dean. We are committed to maximizing the likelihood of learner success in high-quality academic programs. We are committed to the STEM department\xe2\x80\x99s mission to serve as a global leader in STEM education by providing learner-centric and the latest opportunities focused on equitable access for all using technology and teaching practices.
You are credentialed in the field of cybersecurity and willing to serve as an academic subject matter expert for program and course development projects, in close collaboration with multiple academic partners. You will participate in processes related to academic program accreditations, designations, and affiliations. This includes teaching cybersecurity-related courses, occasionally traveling to assigned conferences/events, engaging in professional networking and development to maintain connections with industry, coordinating outreach and collaboration activities with other learning institutions, serving as a mentor to students, overseeing experiential learning opportunities and competitions, and working to improve student success, and satisfaction in assigned courses.
You will serve in both academic and administrative capacities to help ensure STEM\xe2\x80\x99s technology-focused programs and courses are high quality and use industry-relevant technologies. This role could also be consulted to help with other academic departments that have overlapping subject matter in their respective curricula.

You\'ll Get To:
Be a subject matter expert to support STEM\xe2\x80\x99s Cybersecurity curricula
Participate in curriculum oversight, for example, evaluating programs, evaluating courses, and serving as course technical expert
Collaborate with internal and external support services/vendors to engineer, design and troubleshoot course technologies, labs, and activities
Teach up to five courses per year to gain a holistic perspective as a technical faculty member
Be a coordinator and contributor for academic accreditation, designation, and affiliations activities
Participate in and organize course development and course improvement projects
Research, develop, and test appropriate software tools that best support student learning requirements
Implement instructional and design strategies that engage students in their learning of technical content areas
Support communication and collaboration between academic administration and other partners, especially regarding technology
Develop interdepartmental relationships including with other academic units, academic technology, learning science, and learning resources.
Develop training and support materials for instructors, students, or advisors
Follow all standard instruction principles when serving as a course instructor
Other responsibilities will consist of ongoing participation in the academic unit including serving on committees and working groups and participating in professional development and strategy meetings
What We\'re Looking For:
Years of experience: 4 years of work experience in the field of Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or similar discipline
Master\xe2\x80\x99s degree, Doctorate, or terminal degree in Information Technology, Cyber Security, Computer Information systems, Computer Science, or similar discipline
At least one (1) professional certification listed on the DoD 8570.01-m approved baseline (for example, CompTIA Security+, ISC2 CISSP, EC-Council CEH, ISACA CISM)
Specialized knowledge: Must be experienced with online curriculum development and oversight.
Experience working with students and faculty in an online environment
Demonstrated ability to help guide the academic unit\xe2\x80\x99s strategy, collaborate among colleagues and partners, anticipate long-term impacts, and develop systems
