Position Description:

The Technical Trainer is responsible to guide Associates through the training modules to help them acquire the necessary knowledge and skills by using pre-designed training materials such as videos, study guides and other aids. Also qualifies Associates on task performance in specific areas. In addition, the technical trainer is responsible for enrolling Associates in any outside training they must acquire.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for reporting food safety issues to personnel with authority to initiate action.
• Manages New Hire Orientation
• Conducting all skill block training.
• Train and certify all full time and temporary workers on forklift and aerial lifts.
• Conduct Lock Out / Tag Out training; including recertification.
• Conduct or schedule any outside technical training necessary.
• Coordinate efforts and provide assistance to the corporate technical writers for development of corporate technical training modules.
• Maintain all training records; both written and computer based.
• Maintain training material inventory.
• Participate in special projects.
• Responsible for maintaining ISO standards.
• Has the authority to place product on hold.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Team Oriented.
• Self-Motivated.
• Must have flexibility of job assignments.
• Must have 2 to 4 year degree in Industrial Technology or other related field, and 2 to 5 yrs in related technical experience.
• Must have good communication and leadership skills.
• Must possess a strong desire to help others to learn.
• Computer literate with the ability to present technical data. Microsoft Access and Excel a plus.
