Description :Where you will work:
The Cypress Bend facility is in the historic Mississippi River Delta and produces bleached paperboard and bleached Kraft pulp, used in the production of folding cartons, commercial print paperboard, carded packaging, and cupstock. This facility boasts over 300 talented employees and stretches across 730 acres.   • Assist with file management for drawings and equipment, estimating, designing, preparing technical drawings, and developing prototypes.
  • Test materials, devices, and products.
  • Converts engineers\xe2\x80\x99 and technicians\xe2\x80\x99 rough product sketches into working documents using CAD.
  • Perform basic design work\xe2\x80\x94equipment layouts, piping systems, and pipe supports; sizing conduit; selecting wire and starter sizes.
Field Support
  • Provide field support during the design and construction phases of projects
  • Manage simple projects with supervision.
  • Administer contracts with supervision--work with vendors and construction companies to ensure contract specs are adhered to, safety qualifications and training requirements are met, deadlines established and met, and costs are controlled.
  • Assists with purchasing required equipment and developing implementation plans.
  • Gather field information--equipment location and shooting levels, dimensions, equipment operation data, thickness measures. Depending on location, may include vibration readings and other related work, etc.
  • Prepared workorders for review, input in CMMS system as required; complete follow-up as needed.
  • Responsible for maintaining files and related project documentation in adherence with record retention guidelines.
Project Management
  • Assist with the preparation of bid specs (scope of work, bill of materials, drawings, list of drawings, etc.)
  • Assist with completing estimates for assigned projects for capital budget and may be responsible for completing estimates and preparing AFCE\xe2\x80\x99s (Authorization for Capital Expenditure) on less complex projects.
  • Maintain standards by reviewing engineering drawings and supporting documentation; make update recommendations as needed for review.
  • Take appropriate action to resolve details not completely defined.
Training & Development
  • Develop knowledge base in TPM/lean concepts, with the learned ability to participate in problem solving activities to drive continuous improvement in area of responsibility.
  • Develop knowledge of CMMS system, with the learned ability to identify deficiencies and create work orders.
  • Assist in the development of standards and procedures to perform various functions on systems and review work of engineers, vendors and contractors for compliance with and adherence to standards and safety expectations.

What you will need:
  • High school education or equivalent.
  • Minimum two (2) years of related experience required or 2 years of college in a related technical field.
  • Demonstrated experience with JDEdwards or similar SAP-based CMMS systems, strongly desired.
  • Have full working knowledge of AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.
  • Demonstrated ability to read blueprints and to have working knowledge of design symbols and drawing standards.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to express ideas and opportunities to superiors, peers, suppliers, and contractors.
  • Strong ability to prioritize tasks/assignments, detail, and results orientation.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills required.
  • Must be able to multi-task with continual interruptions.
  • Must be self-motivated, energetic, and work with minimal supervision.
  • High speed manufacturing environment, sustained exposure to high frequency noises, multiple hours standing, walking on concrete and uneven surfaces.
  • Personal Protective Equipment required in mill environment.
  • Dirt, noise, odor, and temperature extremes.
  • Climbing stairs, ladders, and scaffolding.
  • Exposure to hazardous chemicals used in manufacturing process.
  • Occasional shift work during shutdowns or other critical times.
