POSITION TITLE: Technology Integration Specialist DATE: January 2024

REPORTS TO: Director of Infrastructure & Security and EVP of FMSI DEPARTMENT: Technology

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Integration Specialist\'s primary responsibility is to coordinate and implement First MainStreet\'s enterprise architecture with new business partners and acquisitions. The Integration Specialist provides technical expertise in areas related to core infrastructure, unified communications, and business applications. They coordinate and execute the cross-practice implementation of technology systems and software to ensure each project is successful and efficiencies are realized. They identify, document, resolve and monitor issues to ensure timely resolution and work with business leaders to implement effective solutions.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES

JOB KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

\xc2\xb7 Support the deployment and assist with support of technology software and platforms for new business opportunities and acquisitions.

\xc2\xb7 Ensure the successful completion of integration and acquisition projects utilizing project management frameworks.

\xc2\xb7 Facilitate meetings, track milestones and ensure effective cross divisional communication between technology resources in independent groups.

\xc2\xb7 Communicate and present technical concepts and solutions in a user-friendly language.

\xc2\xb7 Install, support, and maintain insurance industry specific software and systems.

\xc2\xb7 Provide subject matter expertise on industry specific software platforms and workflow adoption.

\xc2\xb7 Work with various technology, telecommunication and copier vendors on contract management and consolidation.

QUALITY CONTROL & WORKFLOW:

\xc2\xb7 Work independently to achieve assigned responsibilities.

\xc2\xb7 Provide analysis on integration projects and recommendations for improvement.

\xc2\xb7 Document, track and monitor technical issues to ensure a timely resolution.

\xc2\xb7 Document applicable processes and procedures.

ORGANIZATION & PLANNING:

\xc2\xb7 Represent the IT organization as a primary contact point to deploy solutions to complex technical problems across the First MainStreet Insurance organization.

\xc2\xb7 Support and participate in the development, evolution, and maintenance of the core platform enterprise architecture.

\xc2\xb7 Engage with the First MainStreet Insurance team as the technical resource for enterprise and divisional initiatives or projects.

CLIENT SERVICE:

\xc2\xb7 Identify, research and resolve complex technical problems.

\xc2\xb7 Provide support to the Technology Team for issues related to integrations and on-going end-user support.

\xc2\xb7 Work with end-users and division leaders to understand unique challenges and provide standard solutions utilizing enterprise software.

\xc2\xb7 Provide exceptional customer service.

\xc2\xb7 Support and travel to remote offices for implementations and support as needed.

\xc2\xb7 Treat clients professionally at all times and maintains positive and professional attitude under pressure.

TEAMWORK:

\xc2\xb7 Proactively communicate with team and end users on changes to systems and/or issues found.

\xc2\xb7 Work with leaders on training for new hires, software deployments and system upgrades.

\xc2\xb7 Work with Technology team for onboarding and standardization on First MainStreet platforms.

\xc2\xb7 Coordinate the resolution of local and wide area network, PC hardware, and software problems and assists with resolution

\xc2\xb7 Work cohesively with the Technology department to identify, research and resolve technical problems.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

\xc2\xb7 Associates Degree or 4-year College Degree, preferably in the Information Technologies field and/or equivalent experience.

\xc2\xb7 A minimum of 3 years IT experience.

\xc2\xb7 Hands-on software and hardware troubleshooting experience with working knowledge of Microsoft software platforms and OS.

\xc2\xb7 Knowledge of Active Directory and enterprise technology platforms.

\xc2\xb7 Experience with acquisition practices and methodologies preferred.

\xc2\xb7 Experience with Insurance industry specific software preferred.

\xc2\xb7 Experience with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) required.

SKILLS & COMPETENCIES

\xc2\xb7 Ability to multi-task and demonstrate flexibility.

\xc2\xb7 Software and hardware troubleshooting experience.

\xc2\xb7 Ability to operate in a fast-paced, energetic environment.

\xc2\xb7 Strong and professional verbal and written communication skills.

\xc2\xb7 Level of professionalism, relationships, attitude, promoting and representing the department and company, and adhering to other policies as they are further described in the Employee Handbook.

\xc2\xb7 Excellent organizational and planning skills \xe2\x80\x93 must be able to manage projects and time independently.

\xc2\xb7 Self-motivated and results oriented.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to communicate verbally and to listen for instructions and information. The employee is also required to sit for long periods of time often in front of a computer monitor and operate a computer keyboard. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
