What You Will Do:

The Production Operator II - Assembly is a mid-level assembly position that requires moderate knowledge of assembly, preferably in an aerospace-focused organization.
The current position that we are hiring for works in a high-volume, fast-paced environment which includes injection molding, masking, painting, touch-up work and inspection. The entry level Production Operator starts by learning our masking and prep processes and, from there, they can develop skills by cross-training into any of the other positions such as Mold Setup or Painter.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assembles component and/or subassemblies in conformance to drawing and quality standards.
  • Works from Engineering drawings and specifications, standard work instructions., quality standards, test procedures, and assembly instructions
  • Will be responsible for validating that build and inspection equipment is calibrated and/or qualified as Fit-for-Use.
  • Adhere to lot traceability and general inventory practices.
  • Build assemblies as directed by supervisor or team lead with minimal supervision while adhering to documented production time standards where applicable.
  • Recognize deviations from standard drawings/practices.
  • Assembly skills may include soldering, crimping, wire harnessing, basic testing, visual inspection.
  • Understand and live by Korrys culture.
  • Cross-trained on multiple products and/or between production lines.
Education
Typically requires a high school diploma or equivalent.

Experience
1+ years related industry experience required.

Specialized Skills and Abilities
  • You must be a US Person
  • Have strong communication skills
  • Possess intermediate knowledge of reading, interpreting, and implementing blueprints, schematics and drawings
  • Must have a keen attention to detail
  • Must have basic ability to operate a computer
  • Must have effective listening skills in order to receive instructions from supervisor
  • Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment and effectively communicate
  • Basic understanding of Lean principles
  • Participates in problem solving teams to develop process improvements
  • Willing to work extra hours, and potentially weekends
  • Must have strong hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills for the accurate application of masking stencils
Physical Requirements:
  • This position may require sitting or standing for the majority of a standard 8-hour shift.
  • Heavy lifting up to 25 lbs. may be required, as necessary.
Work Environment:
  • The noise-level in the assembly area is consistent but minimal. Hearing protection will be provided upon request but is not required in this area.
  • This position does require the handling of chemicals and using the appropriate PPE such as chemical-resistant gloves, masks or safety glasses per SDS recommendations.
