POSITION SUMMARY:

The Terrain Park Groomer will operate heavy equipment in order to create and maintain a world-class Terrain Park product for the enjoyment of our guests. These parks include a variety of features that provide an exceptional experience across a wide range of skill levels. The Terrain Park Groomer must work within a team environment and maintain a positive attitude throughout the season.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

-Completes nightly maintenance of features in the terrain park and the surrounding slopes

-Assists in the transport, building and installation of terrain park jibs and snow features

-Performs hand/rake work around terrain park features when needed

-Completes other objectives on the daily snow maintenance plan, including assisting the rest of the grooming crew with additional projects and terrain maintenance

-Operates snowcats in a safe and efficient manner

-Maintains fluid levels, performs daily machine inspections, and reports any/all damage to vehicle maintenance

KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS
  • Valid, non-restricted motor vehicle driver\'s license
  • Knowledge of terrain park terminology and practices
  • Minimum 2 years snow grooming experience, preferred
  • Ability to ski/ride terrain park features, preferred
  • Reliable transportation to/from work at hours outside normal business hours
  • Punctuality and ability to meet assigned work schedule
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS
  • This position is required to work evenings and/or overnight, weekends and holidays while in operation.
  • Able to lift, carry, or otherwise move and position a minimum of 60 pounds on an occasional basis, and a minimum of 20 pounds on a frequent basis.
  • Ability to work for extended periods of time while seated.
  • Manual dexterity to operate hand tools such as rakes, shovels, and basic carpentry tools.
  • Ability to work outside in ANY AND ALL weather conditions, including but not limited to rain, snow, sleet, high winds, and cold temperatures.
  • Talking and hearing occur continuously in the process of communicating with guests, supervisors and other employees.

WAGE:

The base hourly pay range below represents the low and high end of Winter Park Resorts\' hourly pay range for this position. Actual pay will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to experience, education, training, location, merit system, quantity or quality of production, responsibilities, and regular and/or necessary travel. The range listed is just one component of Winter Park Resorts\' total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include many region-specific benefits.

Hourly Pay Range: $20.50 DOE
