Main Ingredients of the Job
\xc2\xb7 Foster the customer relationship in a team based selling model.
\xc2\xb7 Manage deliveries to the routing schedule published by the transportation department; troubleshoot any problems that occur during the order process (e.g., delivery mis picks, short on loads, stock-outs).
\xc2\xb7 Communicate and collect accounts receivable as necessary, working with the credit department and client; collect all balances due based on approved credit terms.
\xc2\xb7 Leverage other resources to assist with top penetration opportunities and new accounts opening.
\xc2\xb7 Develop new business; identify prospective customers by utilizing market intelligence databases, as well as business directories, following leads from existing clients, participating in organizations and clubs, and attending trade shows and conferences.
\xc2\xb7 Know the market conditions, product innovations, and competitors\' products, prices, and sales; share information with customers as part of value-added services provided.
\xc2\xb7 Drive motor vehicle to existing customers, and prospects, to ensure product delivery, which may include lifting/carrying up to 75lbs.
What You Bring to the Table
\xc2\xb7 One+ year of sales (foodservice industry preferred) or culinary/restaurant management experience
\xc2\xb7 Excellent oral and written communication skills, as well as customer service and presentation abilities
\xc2\xb7 Motor vehicle record in good standing
\xc2\xb7 Problem solving ability and negotiation skills
\xc2\xb7 Proficient computer skills; Microsoft Office products
\xc2\xb7 HS Diploma or equivalent
Licenses
Valid driver\'s license required
Candidates who have received a DUI conviction for drug or alcohol within the last three years will not be considered as eligible.
Other license history is reviewed and must meet company standards
Work Environment
Frequently outside the office environment working in the field in variable weather and temperature conditions
