Job Description


Job Summary
The Therapeutic Integration Specialist (TIS) in our Sandpipers Program will facilitate the successful assimilation of students with developmental or behavioral needs into the classroom environment. The TIS will partner with assigned clients from the Kids Connect Program to provide necessary support, ensure their safety and wellbeing, and help the clients thrive in the classroom as they learn to navigate their needs, social awareness, and independence.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Meets with the clinical supervisor and maintains accurate client records using an Electronic Health Record (HER) system.
  • Provides direct services to children to enable inclusion and build skills.
  • Implements client behavior plans as established by the Clinical Supervisor.
  • Ensures all clients receive goal-oriented assessments and treatment/service plans within established time frames.
  • Fosters positive relationships with parents and families, providing support and resources and reporting concerns to the Director and Clinical Supervisor.
  • Ensures all work is completed in a manner that adheres to all health and safety protocols, address and report any potential hazards to ensure the safety of children, staff and all using the facility.
  • Assists other teaching staff in caring for children in the classroom, be alert and reactive to children\xe2\x80\x99s physical, emotional and cognitive needs.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in early childhood education or related field required.
  • 1+ years in a childcare setting required.
  • Knowledge early childhood development.
  • Knowledge of the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC), ECE quality standards.
  • Prior experience working in a family-based environment.
  • Must meet all state licensing regulations and requirements.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Good written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate and effectively interact with a diverse population.
  • The ideal candidate will be required to meet all pre-employment requirements such as background checks and medical clearances.
