Utz Quality Foods is currently recruiting for a Tractor Trailer Driver to work from our Golden Flake Snack Foods facility located in Birmingham, AL. Key Responsibilities

• Drives gasoline or diesel-powered tractor-trailer combinations over the road to transport merchandise.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspection on tractor-trailers.
• Unloads and checks merchandise at each warehouse.
• Must check in product at the Distribution Centers, check product on delivery manifests for accuracy and sign the delivery manifest.
• Picks up empty boxes, stale product, racks, etc., at each warehouse for return to terminal.
• Unload cardboard, skids, and product on return to terminal.
• Responsible for maintaining accurate driving logs and must abide by DOT regulations.
• Requires working proactively in a cross-functional team with diverse groups of people.

Requirements

• Class A commercial driver\xe2\x80\x99s license with endorsements to operate a combination vehicle with GVWR above 26,000 lbs.
• Must have over-the-road tractor-trailer driving experience or be a graduate of an approved truck driver training school.
• Must be familiar with motor carrier safety regulations and comply with these regulations while performing these duties.
• Must have a good driving record with no more than three (3) moving violations, convictions, or bond forfeitures in the past five (5) years.
• Must possess skill to maintain control of truck while backing, turning corners, and negotiating narrow passageways.
• Requires strong math and reading skills.
• Requires mental and visual alertness and high safety consciousness when operating tractor trailer.
• Ability to lift/push/pull up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work overnight hours and ability to obtain a forklift license.
