JOB SUMMARY

Roy Jorgensen Associates, Inc. is currently seeking full-time Traffic Safety Patrol/Road Rangers to perform motorist assistance services in the Denver, Colorado area on weekends. Responsibilities include communicating with TMC for emergencies and/or incidents on the roadway; help mitigate delays caused by traffic incidents or obstructions on the road, increase safety of emergency responders, document all work performed with detailed time logs, etc. The primary goal of the Road Ranger is to ensure, as much as possible and within the project and company policies, a free flow of traffic on the road and to assist responding agencies in safely securing a scene and reopening the roadway as quickly and safely as possible to meet the contract goals and adherence to all applicable federal, state, and local regulations, as well as Jorgensen Company policies and procedures.

SALARY

$19-$23 per hour-commensurate with experience

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Communicate with the Traffic Management Center for emergencies and/or incidents on the roadway.
• Help mitigate delays caused by traffic incidents or obstructions on the road.
• Assist with disabled motorists.
• Help a stranded motorist change their tire.
• Provide a gallon of gas for a motorist who ran out.
• Increase safety of emergency responders by helping to provide advanced warning to drivers.
• Document all work performed with detailed time logs.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Motorist assistance/highway assistance experience a plus
• High School Diploma/GED
• Maintain company standards for background checks (i.e. criminal record, driving record and controlled substance/drug testing)
• Knowledge of local driving rules and regulations
• Maintain proper safety equipment required for each job
• Ability to use smart phone and applications
• Ability to adjust to changing work schedule
• Ability to work safely under ranging environmental and weather conditions
• Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds
• Ability to operate hand/power tools
