The Opportunity

The Transfer Credit Evaluation Specialist I is responsible for assessing whether student files meet admission criteria, makes admission decisions, processes transfer credit and course waiver evaluations, and reviews transcripts for applicants to Global Campus undergraduate or graduate programs. The Transfer Credit Evaluation Specialist I ensures an accurate evaluation of credit for all prior learning including transfer credit, life experience, and nontraditional training within 24-48 hours of receipt of assessment materials, and creates new student program worksheets based on transfer credit assessment. This role works collaboratively with other departments to ensure results are communicated to the student within the service level agreement established.

Position Description: (Remote)

The Transfer Credit Evaluation Specialist (TCES) assesses whether student files meet admission criteria, makes admission decisions, processes transfer credit and course waiver evaluations, and prior learning for applicants to Southern New Hampshire University. Working under the supervision of ESS leadership, the TCES will ensure accurate evaluation of credit for all prior learning including transfer credit, life experience, and nontraditional training. The TCES will work with Admission, Advising and the Registrar to complete and communicate transfer assessments. The TCES will be responsible for collaboration with Academics and Advising for generating the student program plan.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Admission file review
  • You will help us complete and authorize transfer credit evaluations for equivalencies
  • You will assist Admission Processing in student file maintenance
  • You will maintain 24-hour Service Level Agreement with all internal and external customers
  • Maintain accuracy of transfer credit evaluation with an error rate of less than 2%
  • Maintain accuracy of entry of transfer credit with an error rate of less than 2%
  • Outreach external institutions or individuals by phone and/or email to obtain information to support the transfer credit process
  • You will support us as a culture ambassador and department representative in all interactions
  • You will follow department attendance policy, this includes meetings and trainings based on the current organizational needs
  • Uphold all SNHU procedures with integrity and ethics
Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum Education:
  • Conferred Bachelor\'s degree or at least 4 years of relevant work experience.
Minimum Experience:
  • Experience in a professional office setting
Work Schedule:

Tuesday - Saturday 8:00am \xe2\x80\x93 4:30pm

One day per week (T-Th) 11:30am-8:00pm

Salary:

The starting salary for this position is $41,400.00 annually.
