Control Systems Engineer Position

Trans-Market is a process design company supporting projects across the United States. Our area of expertise is in food & beverage processing systems. We provide process design, automation/controls, distribution sales, installation and commissioning of process systems including Clean-In-Place (CIP) systems, pasteurization, aseptic systems and sanitary processing.

The Control Systems Engineering position will be responsible for the development of control system architectures, Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) programming, Human-Machine-Interface (HMI) programming, server configuration and industrial network configuration for the development and implementation of automated systems. This position will involve programming in an office or remote setting as well as on-site start up commissioning in an industrial environment.

Job Role Responsibilities

• Develop and troubleshoot PLC programs (Allen-Bradley / Rockwell & Siemens)
• Develop and troubleshoot HMI programs (FactoryTalk View SE/ME, RsView32, Wonderware & Ignition)
• Write, understand and troubleshoot complex ladder logic programming
• Program and troubleshoot the following (RSLinx, Control Net, Device Net, ASi, Profibus, Profinet, Control Logix 5000/Studio 5000, PLC (2,3,5), SLC 500, AC/DC Drives, SQL/Access databases, Python/VB/VB.NET)
• Specify, configure and implement Industrial networks and servers
• Develop functional descriptions and system documentation
• Perform Factory Acceptance Tests
• On-site start up commissioning

Experience Preferences

• Experience in the sanitary food, beverage and pharmaceutical industry preferred
• Knowledge of the OSI network model, Ethernet, and TCP/IP
• Aptitude in computer software packages such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project)
