ResponsibilitiesPerform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealershipTest drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipmentDiagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systemsCommunicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers can be informed if any additional service is neededProvide estimates of time needed for additional repairsExecute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specificationsTest to check systems and components are secure and working properly.Isolate the systems or components that might have caused the problem.QualificationsDeep understanding of automobiles and speedy diagnostic abilitiesEffective analytical and communication skills and eagerness to improveAbility to learn new technology, repair and service procedures and specificationsAbility to operate electronic diagnostic equipmentHigh School Diploma or GED (required)ASE Certification/Technical degree (required)One year in a service departmentValid driver\xe2\x80\x99s license and clean driving recordDrive the vehicle for testing purposes.Maintain efficiency and accuracy in diagnosing as well as repairing vehicles.Repair or replace worn parts ahead of the vehicle\xe2\x80\x99s breakdown or damage.Use power tools, machine tools, and common hand tools to perform various tasks.RequirementsHigh school diploma or equivalentExperience is REQUIREDKnowledge in all aspects of automotive repair and maintenanceFast, eager learner and team playerExcellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong customer service skillsAbility to operate electronic diagnostic equipmentClean driving record & valid driver\xe2\x80\x99s license
