Job Posting: Trash & Recycling Valet TechnicianEmployment Type: Part TimeSchedule: Monday to Friday. (No weekends!)Shift Times: 6:30 pm or 7:00 pm start time, shifts typically range for 2-3 hoursSalary: $20-$25 an hour dependent on experience (DOE).Location: Washington, UtahWSI Trash & Recycling Valet is hiring a Trash & Recycling Valet Technician to provide nightly door side to dumpster trash and recycling valet services for a multifamily community. With short evening shifts during the week, this position is great for people looking to make some additional income while still enjoying a work life balance.ResponsibilitiesAs a Door-Side to Dumpster Trash & Recycling Valet Technician, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and efficiency of apartment communities. Upon arriving at work, you will check in using our dedicated app and begin your route, which may consist of one large apartment community or multiple smaller ones.Your main responsibilities include:

• Collecting bagged trash, recycling, and broken-down cardboard from residents\' door sides using on-site equipment.
• Transporting these materials to designated on-site dumpsters, trash chutes, or compactors.
• Separating recyclables into appropriate dumpsters and inspecting for contamination.
• Engaging with residents you encounter, providing a friendly and professional service.
• Issuing Educational Courtesy Compliance Notices for non-compliant trash or contaminated recycling, along with taking necessary photos.
• Uploading photos and compliance notices into our app to document your findings.
• Cleaning up any loose trash around dumpsters, chute rooms, or compactors.
• Returning all equipment to its designated location after service completion.
• Additional tasks may include replacing bags at pet waste stations, collecting bagged pet waste, and managing community waste bins near doors or common areas such as pools and other amenities.
• At the end of your shift, you will check out using our app.
• This position requires extensive walking and, in some cases, climbing stairs. Some communities may also require the use of a personal open bed pickup truck.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Must be conscientious, reliable, and exhibit a friendly and helpful attitude towards on-site management and residents.

• A valid Driver\'s License and ability to operate a motor vehicle in Utah is required.

(Valid documentation included but not limited to Auto Liability Insurance and Driver\'s license must be maintained.)

• Must be able to physically lift and transport up to 50 lbs. and able to work in indoor and outdoor environments during various weather conditions.
• Must be able to ascend or descend stairs and walk for prolonged periods of time.
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Ability to speak, read and write in English
• Possess a smartphone with an active data plan and location services enabled
