Diamond & Aces Sports Center is immediately hiring Head and Assistant Coaches for our 2024 Summer Season Travel Baseball Programs. We are seeking highly motivated role models who have a desire to learn, teach and be a positive member of a great team. The Diamond Dogs travel program consists of a 12u and 13u team. Expectations are that teams will practice at 2-3x a week, and play 4 travel tournaments during the season. Coaches should be generally available to work the following schedule: - June: Weeknights and weekends for outdoor practice - July - August: One weeknight for practice, and weekends for games Applicants should have a baseball background. Coaching and/or playing experience a must. College degree a plus. The Head Baseball Coach provides leadership and supervision for the team and individuals, and works closely with the other staff members to produce quality practices and games. Essential Functions:
Coordinate and supervise team
Promote an appreciation of hard work, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
Management of rosters
Plan and Schedule practices
Teach and Motivate players in a positive environment
Develop players skills
Player selection process during tryouts
Running team practices, scrimmages, games and other team events
Game line-ups and in-game decision making
Direct communication with all players and parents
Travel to weekend tournaments
Assistant Coaches help with conducting practices, motivating players, and instructing athletes in game strategies and techniques. Position is responsible for assisting the head coach with organization of the team.
Part-time positions available as head coach and assistant coach for travel teams-practices 1 to 2 evenings during the week and Saturday/Sunday tournaments
Seeking qualified candidates to provide superior coaching instruction in baseball
Must be capable of confidently breaking down skills into manageable easily understood mechanics so that ages 10 to 18 can follow one on one and group training
Candidates should have an understanding of the rules and strategy associated with travel baseball
Pay dependent on position and experience

Commitment: coaches are expected to attend all practices and games
Baseball experience: high school and/or collegiate level (playing and/or coaching)
Coaching experience: experience working with children ages 8-18.
