Treasurer

Job Description
Under general direction of the Director of Finance, this position manages all aspects of cash flows and works with the director to determine annual cash flow needs. Participates in the investment of Town funds and works according to town Charter, statutory authority, and operating procedures within the department.
Minimum Qualifications:
Knowledge of governmental accounting principles, theories, concepts, terms, and internet accounting controls
Familiarity of electronic processing and banking
Understanding of federal and state laws and regulations related to municipal investments and issuance of municipal deb
Skilled in automated financial and treasury management systems
Comprehension of recommended practices related to governmental accounting, auditing, and financial reporting, specifically related to accounting for cash, investments, and debt
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office products
Experience with accounting and or financial analysis
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's or master's degree from a recognized college or university in finance, accounting or relevant field.
Three years' experience in responsible accounting, banking or investment advisory work
Leadership and supervisory skills

Pay: $92,036.00 per year
