The Iowa Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) is seeking a Treatment Director to join the team at the State Training School (STS) in Eldora. The STS provides a holistic social, behavioral, psychiatric, academic, and vocational program that utilizes counseling, treatment, and consequences paired with praise for young men, ages 12-18 years old, who were adjudicated delinquent. This is a full-time position with a Sunday - Tuesday 12 p.m. - 10 p.m. and Wednesday 8 a.m. - 6 p.m. weekly schedule.
The primary responsibilities of the Treatment Director are to oversee all night staff and to coordinate treatment efforts facility wide. The Treatment Director operates at an administrative level assisting in identifying and implementing all policy and procedures regarding campus operations, alignment with quality assurance goals, accountability, and oversight of rehabilitative services and programs for students to improve treatment. The Treatment Director serves as the supervisory contact during second shift in absence of the Deputy Superintendent and Superintendent and is responsible for assuring adherence to rules, policies, and direction, and that guidance, monitoring, and decision making are effectively led and implemented throughout the facility.
