Come be part of something remarkable.How you can make a difference?The Trust Accountant I is responsible for preparing daily and monthly reconciliations, journal entries, and platform closes. The Trust Accountant I is a key player on the Trust Accounting team as they are critical in achieving monthly and quarterly close timing, which then translates to filing SEC filings on time. The trust accountant will report to the trust accounting manage and works collaboratively with other departments, as needed. May assist the other teammates within the trust team or outside of the trust team, or work with groups on special projects.What you\xe2\x80\x99ll be doing

  • Research and prepare journal entries in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Company policies. If accounting errors occur, investigate, and resolve accounting errors in a timely manner.
  • Reconcile assigned general ledger accounts
  • Prepare monthly & daily bank reconciliations
  • Effectively liaison with external and internal auditors to address issues and perform walkthroughs of key processes
  • Perform key internal controls in the financial close and reporting process and other key accounting processes in accordance with Sarbanes Oxley (SOX)
  • Prepare year-end audit support as needed
  • Streamline processes and improve the effectiveness of internal controls.
  • Participates in ongoing CPE (Continuing Professional Training) and other professional or compliance training.
What you will need to be successful
  • Bachelor\'s degree in accounting or finance.
  • 1-2 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in public accounting or 2-3 years of experience in industry accounting
  • The ability to proficiently perform professional level accounting research, analysis, reconciliation, and financial and accounting reporting
  • Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to analyze, post, balance, and reconcile financial data, ledgers, and accounts
  • Ability to examine and verify financial documents, reports, and transactions
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills
  • Proficient in Excel, must be at least intermediate level (vlook-up, etc.)
  • Work requires a normal range of hearing, vision, and verbal communication skills, with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Must be able to use a telephone or headset equipment and operate a keyboard and other office equipment, with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • The ability to perform work at a computer station for 6-8+ hours a day and function in an environment with frequent interruptions is required.
  • At times, subject to sitting for prolonged periods.
  • Must be able to lift and move material weighing up to 20 lbs.
  • May experience elevated levels of stress during periods of increased activity and with work entailing multiple deadlines

Salary Range: $22.12 To $31.97 / hour Benefits & Perks:The compensation range describes the typical minimum or maximum base pay range for this position. The actual compensation offer is determined based on job-related knowledge, education, skills, experience, and work location.
