Teton Trust Company (\xe2\x80\x9cTTC\xe2\x80\x9d) is looking to expand its team with a seasoned Tax Attorney or Accountant. This role will be centered at our Jackson Hole, Wyoming office. Position Overview:

The Tax Attorney/Accountant will serve as an internal specialist on tax planning, strategy, and compliance for domestic trusts. This individual will provide expert guidance to the TTC team on complex tax requirements and procedures, ensuring our collective compliance with U.S. tax laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities: * Tax Planning & Strategy Development: Leverage your expertise in domestic trust tax laws to develop and communicate effective tax strategies for the team, designed to guide our client engagements and ensure fiscal efficiency.

  • Tax Compliance: Manage all relevant tax deadlines and provide direction to ensure that TTC and its clients remain compliant with all U.S. trust taxation laws and regulations. This includes advice on the preparation and management of common tax filings, such as IRS Form 5472.
  • Internal Consulting: Act as the go-to tax expert for the internal team, providing guidance on domestic trust taxation matters and facilitating the sharing of best practices and professional development.
  • Interdepartmental Collaboration: Collaborate closely with the internal team of lawyers, accountants, and trust officers, both domestically and internationally, to provide comprehensive and seamless tax strategies.
Required Qualifications:
  • Advanced degree in law or accounting.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in U.S. trust taxation.
  • Demonstrated expertise in tax compliance, planning, and strategy for U.S. trusts.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Familiarity with IRS Form 5472, the Corporate Transparency Act, immigration, and/or cross-border tax issues.
Travel Requirements:

Some travel may be necessary for internal meetings and industry conferences.

Training Opportunities:

TTC will provide training in business development and relationship management for candidates demonstrating the requisite tax expertise.

Performance Goals:

The successful candidate is expected to demonstrate a clear understanding of tax requirements for domestic trusts, maintain tax compliance within TTC, contribute to the professional growth of the team, and deliver exceptional internal consulting services.

Working Arrangements

This is a full-time position, with a standard work schedule of 9-5. Office presence is required in our Jackson, Wyoming location, with occasional travel as needed.
