The Southcentral Foundation (SCF) Ultrasonographer is responsible for providing a full range of ultrasound services to customer-owners and for maintaining quality assurance protocols.

Qualifications:

SCF programs are established to serve a primary population comprised of Alaska Native people who are affiliated with Cook Inlet Region, Inc. (CIRI) and Alaska Native and American Indian people within SCF\xe2\x80\x99s geographical service area. Employees should have a thorough understanding of the cultures and the needs of this population. Such knowledge is critical to ensure the achievement of SCF\xe2\x80\x99s vision of a Native Community that enjoys physical, mental, emotional and spiritual wellness, and mission of working together with the Native Community to achieve wellness through health and related services:

1. Associate degree in a related field from an accredited school.

2. Certification as a Registered Sonographer through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT);

3. OR Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) through the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS);

4. OR Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) through the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) AND completion of RDMS certification within one (1) year of hire.

5. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required. ACLS, NRP, ATLS, ALSO, and PALS as required for specialty and any certification relating to the scope of practice as required.

SCF is committed to customer and employee health and safety. Compliance with our Employee Health Procedure is a condition of SCF employment for all SCF employees. The successful applicant will be required to agree to comply with all job-related employee health screening and immunizations requirements prior to the first day of SCF employment, which include the following: MMR (Measles, Mumps and Rubella), Varicella (Chicken Pox), and COVID-19 vaccinations.

As an additional condition of employment, the successful applicant must be able to comply with the applicable standards of SCF\xe2\x80\x99s Background Check Policy, including the requirements imposed by the Alaska Barrier Crimes/Conditions and Background Checks regulations, the Indian Child Protection and Family Violence Prevention Act, the Crime Control Act of 1990, and the mandatory and permissive exclusion provisions of the Social Security Act.
