The Manager, Unified Communications shall be responsible to oversee, support, and strategically plan the unified communication infrastructure and related telephony services across Baptist Health. This individual shall be responsible to plan, implement, and maintain voice, video, and collaboration tools to ensure reliable and effective communication across the enterprise. The Manager will lead a team of support analysts and engineers, collaborate with other IT teams and leaders, and provide technical expertise to drive improvements in technology and collaboration. This position may have additional duties assigned that are within scope of the role.
Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalent required.
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field of study required. In lieu of degree, must have an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Minimum 6 years' experience in a similar or related role.
At least 2 years' experience in a managerial or supervisory role required.
May have an equivalent combination of experience, education, certification, and demonstrated proficiency in a similar or related role will also be considered.
License / Certification: One or more current, industry recognized certifications (CompTIA ITF+ CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, Cisco Certified Support Technician, Cisco Certified Specialist - Collaboration, Cisco Certified Network Associate, Professional, and Internetwork Expert, etc.) preferred
Strong working knowledge of current unified communication technologies
Demonstrated experience supporting and managing various unified communication platforms and architectures.
Demonstrated experience supporting and using unified communication platforms and applications
Demonstrated experience with asset lifecycle management programs and processes.
Demonstrated experience with cloud-based unified communication solutions
Familiarity with ITIL processes for service management, including incident, change, and problem management. Intermediate knowledge of analog communication infrastructure and integrations.
Basic knowledge of server and network infrastructure operations.
Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices and experience in implementing security measures on unified communication infrastructure and appliances.
Experience working with vendors for hardware procurement, software licensing, and support services.
Strong skills in creating and maintaining detailed documentation for processes, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
Proven team management skills, with the ability to motivate and drive performance in a dynamic environment.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to resolving issues and improving service delivery.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on relationship-building and effective collaboration across diverse groups.
Strong commitment to providing excellent customer service.
Experience overseeing IT project activities, including planning, execution, and monitoring.
Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing technologies and business needs.
