Description :Urban Planner I (hybrid)

Indianapolis, Indianams consultants is seeking a driven and talented recent graduate Urban Planner to assist our Project Managers with municipal planning administrative work as well as preparing and evaluating various comprehensive plans and ordinance amendments. The successful candidate will have a unique opportunity to enter a collaborative work environment and help shape the future of our industry. We are seeking a self-starter who is focused on planning and designing great places while simultaneously building relationships with communities and clients.What You\'ll Do:

• Assist project managers on comprehensive, neighborhood, and corridor planning processes.
• Assist project managers on urban policy and ordinance research and drafting.
• Assist project managers with municipal planning administration work.
• Create graphics and charts for reports, plans, and presentations.
• Prepare reports and presentations which may include charts, graphs, graphics, technical data spreadsheets, and maps to have information readily available for public meetings and for project manager and team knowledge.
• Present at public meetings, participate in public engagement activities.
• Evaluate, select, and apply standard planning techniques, procedures, and criteria, using judgement in making minor adaptations and modifications.
• Prepare conceptual plans for various projects as given.

What You\'ll Bring:Education and Experience

• Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree in Urban/Regional Planning from an accredited university. Master\xe2\x80\x99s Degree is preferred.
• AICP preferred

Knowledge and Skills

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proven ability to balance work on multiple projects at once.
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, GIS, and Microsoft Office.
