Merchandising Director - Directed Spend

As a Merchandising Director, your expertise, collaboration and strategy will allow you to see the businesses you develop come to life in stores and online. Leveraging your advocacy and negotiation skills with the access and scale of the Walmart system, you\'ll make a direct impact on the business and help families all over the world save money and live better. As a Merchandising Director for Directed Spend, you will work across all facets of the business, including but not limited to operational excellence, category strategy, team management, business development, program implementation, and supplier negotiations. You will own and set the overall strategic operational direction for the business unit and align with broader Walmart strategies. You know your supplier and customer needs better than anyone else and are constantly thinking about what is next for your business. Your success requires tenacity, an analytical mindset, influence, collaboration, and a competitive spirit. You\'ll use your executive presence to work with suppliers and partners at all levels and navigate interesting, complex challenges.
Note: At Walmart Directed Spend is a fintech payments technology that enables companies to substantiate specific SKUs as eligible with provided funds. This technology integrates incentive-based purchasing into existing shopping routines, which helps our customers save time and money by working with suppliers, payors and employers to fund these purchases that support a growing B2B2C market.

You\'ll make an impact by:
Managing the P&L: you\'ll manage your P&L and deliver on revenue and profit targets with a focus on maximizing customer retention and LTV for the overall business.
Serving the customer: you\'ll learn about the various systems and processes utilized to serve our customers, analyze the customer journey for business performance, and lead internal teams for prompt resolution in case of any issues.
Setting the strategy: you\'ll pinpoint areas for improvement and efficiency, devise strategies to optimize client and customer experiences, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement measures that enhance service quality and improve business metrics.
Building relationships: you\'ll use your influencing and leadership skills to build cross-functional partnerships with suppliers, vendors, business partners and other Merchants to support the Directed Spend vision.
Growing your business for stores and eComm channels: you\'ll influence the program roadmap including strategy, prioritization, technology, governance, suppliers, resources, and budgets and will use a collaborative and innovative approach working with our Technology, Design, and Product Development teams to develop and launch new products and revenue streams across categories.

Minimum Qualifications...

Bachelor\'s degree in Business, Merchandising , or related field and 5 years\' experience in merchandising management, buying, financial planning, operations, or related area. OR 7 years\' experience in merchandising management, buying, financial planning, operations, or related area.
2 years\' supervisory experience.
