Position Overview
The City of Henderson announces an examination to create an eligibility list and to fill one (1) vacancy for the classification of Utility Services Engineer I in the Department of Utility Services. The eligibility list may be utilized to fill vacancies for this classification for up to one (1) year.
Under general supervision, provides assistance to senior-level engineers in the areas of research, data collection, project administration, and preparation of reports; and performs related duties as assigned. Under general supervision, provides assistance to senior-level engineers in the areas of research, data collection, project administration, and preparation of reports; performs engineering activities relating to water, wastewater, and reclaimed water infrastructure for the Department of Utility Services; and performs related duties as assigned.
This classification is distinguished as being the first in the Utility Services Engineer series. The Engineer I does not require registration as a Professional Engineer. Incumbents are eligible to non-competitively promote to Engineer II when they are licensed as a Professional Engineer with the State of Nevada.
