Utility Worker

The Utility Worker is to ensure the items produced has a finished surface by grinding, filing, and sanding uneven and rough/sharp surfaces and edges using various methods and tools.

This is a four-month role, we are growing and this could turn into a regular full time position.

Responsibilities:

\xc2\xb7 Deburring, sanding, and blending and polishing parts using hand tools, air and power tools.

\xc2\xb7 Lapping flange faces flat

\xc2\xb7 Tumble parts

\xc2\xb7 Sandblast parts using a cabinet sandblaster

\xc2\xb7 Apply surface finishes to aluminum, brass, copper and stainless steel.

\xc2\xb7 Clean and wash parts

\xc2\xb7 Some light assembly

Qualifications:

\xc2\xb7 Detail oriented

\xc2\xb7 Ability to read and follow instructions along with blueprints

\xc2\xb7 Must be able to select appropriate tools needed to perform task

\xc2\xb7 Must be able to use files, sanding sticks, sandpaper, air grinders and air sanders, hand drills and bench grinders

\xc2\xb7 Ability to follow high standards for cosmetic workmanship

\xc2\xb7 Inspect and measure work pieces to verify conformance to specifications

\xc2\xb7 Communication skills, verbal and written

\xc2\xb7 Prior experience with metal finishing helpful

\xc2\xb7 Must be able to stand for extended periods of time

\xc2\xb7 Ability to lift 50 pounds

This position is Monday through Friday, 6am to 2:30pm.
