Job Description

Our client, the world\'s leading search engine and technology company, is seeking a UX Research Associate. This is a 6 month + contract hybrid remote position located in San Francisco, CA.

Summary:

• Our team, Product Inclusion & Equity UX, within Products for All (P4A), is doing research to enable product teams to build products and services with equity and inclusion as specific aims.
• In this project, we are doing foundational research on Dimensions of Identity to help product teams understand aspects of people from communities within these Dimensions of Identity - their needs, strengths, behaviors, culture, societal norms, etc.

Responsibilities:

• Contributing to research efforts, including literature review and primary research (directly with research participants, survey respondents, etc.), this researcher will need to collect data, do analysis, synthesize insights, produce reports, and present findings.
• Actively working on research tasks: literature review, writing interview protocols, collecting empirical data.
• Sharing status updates and communicating about tasks with team members.
• Analyzing data, synthesizing insights, producing reports and artifacts to share findings with the broader P4A team and product teams across our client.

Requirements:

• Bachelor\'s Degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Human Factors, Social Sciences, Psychology, Anthropology, or other field.
• 3+ years\' experience in tech, design, consumer products specifically practicing qualitative user research.
• Skills or processes candidates must have to be considered for the role:
• Conduct qualitative user research, primarily interview sessions.
• Administer questionnaires and surveys.
• Liaise with participant recruiting teams and participant onboarding.
• Note taking and data capture.
• Highlight-video creation.
• Qualitative data analysis/synthesis.
• Draft findings, recommendations, and reports based on user research.
• Advocate research findings to diverse audiences through written and oral presentations.
• Assist other researchers with tasks such as preparation for user studies.
• Work with content at many levels (style guides, templates, analytics).
• Partner with Product, Program Management, UX, UXR, engineering, support operations, legal, PR, and other editorial groups to ensure content consistency and transparency.
• Experience with email, word processing, spreadsheets, presentation software, etc.
• Only candidates available and ready to work directly as Genesis10 employees will be considered for this position.

Desired:

• M.A/M.S./Ph.D. (completed) in Human-Computer Interaction, Human Factors, Social Sciences, Psychology, Anthropology, or another field.
• Strong knowledge of experimental design and statistical analysis.
• Technical aptitude, familiarity with basic graphic and video editing tools.

Pay rate range: $57 - $66 hourly/W2
