Position Summary:The Valet/Bellman position will provide exceptional service by ensuring the safe and efficient handling of guest vehicles and luggage. Your role will involve both parking vehicles and assisting guests with their luggage, always practicing and promoting the resort\xe2\x80\x99s AAA Four Diamond and Gun Lake Casino Resort\xe2\x80\x99s \xe2\x80\x9cUnsurpassed Service Standards.\xe2\x80\x9d You will be the first and last point of contact for many guests, playing a critical role in creating a positive and lasting impression of our resort.   • Record any existing damage on the guest\xe2\x80\x99s vehicle before accepting and parking it.
  • Park guest vehicles properly and accurately in the designated parking spaces.
  • Lock guest vehicles and securely store the keys.
  • Keep the driveway clear of any cars that need to be parked.
  • Return the car to the guest promptly and in the same condition as when it was received.
  • Ensure a safe and clean working environment for both guests and staff.
  • Drive both manual and automatic transmissions proficiently.
  • Greet guests warmly upon arrival and departure, offering assistance with their luggage.
  • Transport guest luggage to and from their rooms efficiently and carefully.
  • Provide guests with information about the resort\xe2\x80\x99s amenities, services, and local attractions.
  • Assist guests with inquiries and provide directions as needed.
  • Coordinate with the front desk and other departments to ensure guest requests are fulfilled promptly.
  • Safely and securely handle guest luggage, ensuring it is delivered to the correct room.
  • Maintain the luggage storage area in an organized and secure manner.
  • Assist guests with the storage of their luggage before check-in and after check-out.
  • Practice, support, and promote the resort\xe2\x80\x99s AAA Four Diamond and Gun Lake Casino Resort\xe2\x80\x99s \xe2\x80\x9cUnsurpassed Service Standards\xe2\x80\x9d consistently.
  • Interact with guests in a friendly, courteous, and professional manner.
  • Maintain a high level of personal grooming and uniform standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management to meet the business needs of the resort.
Essential Qualifications:
  • Must be 18+ years of age.
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Experienced work as a hotel Bellman and/or Valet Parking Attendant preferred.
  • Must have a valid driver\xe2\x80\x99s license from the state of Michigan and have a clean driving record.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with Guests, Team Members, and Management in both written and verbal form.
  • Neat and legible handwriting.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to do extensive jogging, walking, standing, bending, and lifting.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs with or without assistance.
  • Manual dexterity to operate foot and hand controls.
  • Requires normal, corrected vision range, and the ability to distinguish letters, numbers, and symbols.
Work Conditions:Work is performed outdoors and involves continuous exposure to high and low temperatures, sunlight, wet surfaces, and noise, and may encounter second-hand smoke. Team Members may be required to stand, walk, jog, lift, reach, push, pull, and grasp. Tasks may be required to be performed from a sitting or non-sitting position in a confined area. These tasks include the maintenance and care of assigned areas. Work may entail trained chemical usage.
