In this critical role, you\'ll play a vital role in leading and overseeing daily production operations within our Value Added department. You\'ll be responsible for ensuring efficient production, managing a team of employees, and collaborating with various departments to achieve quality and continuous improvement.
Here\'s what you\'ll do:

• Lead Your Team: Provide direct supervision to production personnel, fostering a positive, collaborative, and results-oriented work environment.
• Optimize Production: Oversee operations in the Heat Form, Blanks, and Hand Parts departments, ensuring smooth daily production flow and meeting production goals.
• Quality & Innovation: Partner with Quality, Sales, and Engineering to develop and implement new products and processes, optimizing production efficiency and quality.
• Planning & Scheduling: Work with Planning and Sales to manage raw material procurement, inventory control, and establish daily production schedules to meet customer demands.
• Develop & Train: Assist in recruiting, onboarding, and training new employees, ensuring a skilled and engaged workforce.
• Continuous Improvement: Work collaboratively with your team, Quality, and Engineering to identify and implement improvements in quality, procedures, and production rates.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Participate in meetings with other department heads to contribute to long-range planning and contract reviews.
• Safety & Maintenance: Promote a safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols and collaborating with HR and Safety. Ensure equipment is properly maintained by working with Maintenance.

• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, coach, and develop your team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with proficiency in written and verbal communication.
• Manufacturing background and a solid understanding of production processes.
• A keen eye for detail and a commitment to accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Enterprise Collaboration Applications (ECApps).
• Experience in optimizing machine uptime and implementing process improvements.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
