Seeking Veterinary Assistant for second shift that has completed the GVMA Veterinary Assistant certification program for a busy surgery practice. This position requires the ability to work cohesively with others in a teamwork environment. Key responsibilities will include patient recovery, clinical paperwork, client communications, scrubbing with the surgeon during procedures, instrument pack prep, and surgery prep.

Candidates should have strong skills in the areas of veterinary medical terminology, catheter placement, acquiring radiographs, venipuncture, and animal handling. To be successful in this position, candidate should be a self-starter that has the initiative to learn specialized surgical instruments, the proper sterilization of instruments and pack preparation. Candidate must enjoy working with clients and have above average communication skills.

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
