Seeking a Veterinary Hospital Manager for our growing Mishawaka, IN location.

Position Overview: Reporting to the Director of Operations, the Hospital Manager is responsible for all functions and operations in the hospital, including but not limited to, daily operations, facilities, inventory management, controlled substance oversight, and staff scheduling. The hospital manager is also responsible for developing and maintaining a team of highly engaged individuals and teams who provide excellent care to our patients, clients, and referring veterinarians.
Who you are:
2+ years in a leadership role required
Associate degree or a combination of equivalent college-level courses and experience required
Emergency veterinary experience preferred
Embody servant leadership
Excellent interpersonal, customer service, and communication skills
Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multi-task
Capability to work well in a fast-paced environment
Ability to prioritize duties and responsibilities to meet deadlines
Highly professional and able to work with people on all levels of the organization
Must be able to work a minimum of 40 hours in the hospital
Must be flexible to meet the needs of the hospital, which includes a mix of after-hour and weekend coverage
What you\'ll do:
Ensure the team has the resources and tools needed
Coach team members on fundamentals of process improvement, ensuring the hospital is operating in an efficient and sustainable manner
Collaborate with other departments
Develop, monitor, and adjust schedules according to workflow to maximize efficiency
Make recommendations in collaboration with the medical director for the purchase of needed supplies and equipment
Manage and influence department financial decisions
Effectively influence behavior and lead change in a growing organization while fostering a service-oriented culture with a team mindset
Provide a comprehensive clinical onboarding training schedule for all team members
Provide ongoing and continuous performance feedback, instruction, and follow-up to team members
Negotiate and mediate conflict
Oversee client and referral partner concerns, and collaborate with the medical director to resolve
Provide written performance feedback and a development plan annually for each member of the team
Attract and retain exceptional team members by creating a culture that provides meaningful work, career growth, and ongoing professional development
Split time between clinical and administrative duties with a minimum of 50% of the time spent on administrative tasks (this varies depending on the hospital size, number of direct reports, and staffing needs)
