Job Summary:

The Vice President of Digital Experience is responsible for driving Vail Resorts\xe2\x80\x99 Digital Experience vision through their ownership of the E-Commerce platform performance, unlocking innovative Digital Experiences through the My Epic App, and leveraging personalization to deliver a guest-centric digital experience. This role has responsibility for a portfolio of websites that drive over $1B in revenue across Pass Products, Lift Tickets, Ski & Ride School, Gear Rental, and Lodging, as well as ownership of the innovative My Epic App. The ideal candidate has 10+ years of experience and proven track record in driving impactful Digital Experience strategies leveraging their drive, ambition, business acumen, and emotional intelligence.

This role will be instrumental in creating a digital ecosystem that delivers the Vail Resorts brand experiences, drives guest engagement, and delivers the eCommerce financial targets. This leader should have the ability to set a vision, identify supporting strategies, and then mobilize the organization to achieve that vision.

The Vice President of Digital Experience should have proven expertise in collaborating with business functions, Marketing Technology partners, Analytics teams, content teams, and 3rd party agencies to deliver best-in-class digital innovation that elevates the guest experience and delivers on the company\xe2\x80\x99s revenue goals & growth plans. This role will lead a diverse team of eCommerce professionals to ensure that the Digital experience is consistent and compelling across all guest touchpoints.

  • The expected range is $181,000 - $230,350 + annual bonus + equity
Job Responsibilities:
  • Digital Vision, Strategy & Roadmap: Build and oversee a data-driven, long-term digital roadmap that will positively impact the guest experience and the company\xe2\x80\x99s strategic and financial goals. The Digital Platforms include a portfolio of websites and the My Epic App.
  • eCommerce Expertise: Manage the eCommerce platform performance and achieve financial targets. Identify key insights on business performance, and identify new opportunities and enhancements to drive engagement, increased traffic, and higher conversion
  • Digital Optimization: Proven track record of delivering strong results through testing & optimization activities to increase conversion
  • User Experience: Integrate website analytics and customer research, business objectives, content, and technology capabilities to design compelling user experiences for new digital functionality and enhancements
  • Innovation: Be an advocate and digital thought leader for new technologies that can drive business impact and improve the guest experience. Monitor, communicate, and incorporate new digital capabilities into the long-term digital roadmap.
  • Digital Operations: Establish and manage operational support processes to ensure stability of all digital platforms.
  • Financial Analysis & Business Acumen: Own financial performance and ROI for the eCommerce platform and all digital initiatives.

Job Requirements:
  • Education
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree. Degree in business preferred;
  • MBA or other advanced business learning or coursework preferred
  • Work Experience
  • Proven track record as high potential talent demonstrating drive, ambition, business acumen, and emotional intelligence
  • 10+ years of experience managing eCommerce, website development and/or digital experience innovation.
  • Challenges the status quo and leverages digital trends to drive innovative solutions that align to business strategies.
  • Ability to understand and translate complex business challenges and requirements into smart digital solutions
  • Ability to understand complex digital systems and provide strategic leadership on processes and platforms to drive scalable solutions for the organization.
  • Ability to analyze online trends, data, and leverage site statistics and performance to influence strategy and roadmap
  • Shows strong orientation to results, with ability to exceed goals, execute consistently, and deliver outstanding results
  • Proven ability to manage complex projects and partner with cross-functional teams and deliver results in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment
  • Strong communication (written, verbal and interpersonal) skills
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills. Pragmatic problem-solver. Solution oriented
  • Strong executive presence
The expected range is $181,000 - $230,350 + annual bonus + equity. Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience.
