Job Duties: Vice President with Goldman Sachs Services LLC in Salt Lake City, Utah. Vice President responsible for ensuring the health of critical infrastructure and the distributed computing platform. Manage the Secure File transfer platform used to securely transfer files between external entities. Troubleshoot and fix issues related to distributed computing platforms that handle the critical business workloads. Provide technical guidance to a team of production support specialists who are engaged in monitoring production systems for the above areas. Provide infrastructure support of products and systems to create automation workflows and help improve operational efficiency. Oversee local change management and incident management representation for critical infrastructure products. Identify defects, discrepancies, and trends by ways of code debugging and log analysis. Improve application stability and performance by observing patterns and recurring failures or issues and advise application owners on permanent fixes accordingly. Analyze and quantify the current trends in failure alerts and help to transform the existing process to make it more efficient and cost-effective.

Job Requirements: Master\'s degree (U.S or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical or Electronics Engineering, Information Systems Technologies, or a related field and three (3) years of experience in the job offered or a related role or Bachelor\'s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical or Electronics Engineering, Information Systems Technologies, or a related field and five (5) years of experience in the job offered or a related role. Prior experience must include three (3) years of experience (with a Master\'s degree) OR five (5) years of experience (with a Bachelor\'s degree) with: working with Unix server infrastructure, Unix/Linux-based operating system, commands, and utilities, as well as Configuration Management Tools; working with networking concepts including Domain Name System (DNS), Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol (TCP/IP), Network File System (NFS), Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP), Secure Shell Protocol (SSH), Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP), File Transfer Protocol (FTP), or Trivial File Transfer Protocol (TFTP); working with database architecture; working with a scripting language including shell script, Perl, JavaScript, KSH, BASH, or Python; working with an infrastructure support environment, including observing patterns, analyzing root cause, and suggesting ideas for resolution; and troubleshooting application issues including identifying defects, discrepancies, and trends by ways of code debugging and log analysis.
