The Innovation and Development Division (IDD) drives the innovation strategy for the Hubs and Operations, and contributes to the Group\'s transformation. It is responsible for imagining, developing and incubating new solutions until they are brought to market, particularly when it comes to offers with a high technological content (including digital and IT). IDD gathers more than 3,000 employees from 70 nationalities at 60 sites.
How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?
Innovation enables Air Liquide to open up new markets, develop its industry and create new solutions for its customers. Research and Development, the driver of innovation, contributes to the development of technologies and processes that open up new prospects and strengthens the Group\xe2\x80\x99s competitive position.
The Air Liquide R&D network is made up of 8 research centers spread over 3 continents. Overall, there are 1000 researchers of more than 35 nationalities developing innovations in the areas of industry, environment, healthcare and electronics.
You will be part of the Analysis & Fine Chemistry group at the Innovation Campus Delaware (ICD) (a Corporate R&D Center) located in Newark, Delaware. The group research activities focuses on Semiconductor material development and supports AL Electronics businesses. Material development comprises of (1) design, synthesis, characterization electronic materials, (2) development of Atomic layer deposition processes for Air Liquide precursors and (3) design, characterization and development of various etching processes for Etchants and (4) design, characterization and development of various Spin on deposition formulas and processes..
The Analysis and Fine Chemistry team is 16 researchers of a variety of nationalities including: US, Pakistan, China, Vietnam, Japan, India and France. The primary language spoken is English.
To be part of the deposition team working in close collaboration with team members to support customer and partner projects in finding solution for advance technological nodes for semiconductor applications for logic /or memory devices.
Understand safety elements and handling of chemicals.
Run a variety of deposition processes including spin on deposition, chemical vapor deposition and atomic layer deposition (after trainings) independently, lead project, identify problems and propose solutions to problems, troubleshoot as needed with self initiative or with support from mentor.
Learn and perform surface analysis of the thin film deposition processes including ellipsometry, FTIR, SEM, XPS, etc.
Be through with data analysis and generate reproducible data sets.
Present results during weekly sub-group meetings, at least once in group meetings and once at the end of VIE program to center.
Present results to business partners from time to time to update progress on the project.
Perform literature and patent searches during the life of the project.
Contribute by writing internal technical research reports to capture results from the project and present results during internal scientific review and patents to capture know-how.
Manage technical communication between R&D, outside partners and Air Liquide partners.
Manage technology transfer to R&D, partners and other Air Liquide entities.
