Wash Bay Attendant

Primary Purpose: Clean garbage truck assemblies so that they are ready to be primed and painted to provide corrosion protection.

General Description: Thoroughly wash garbage truck assembly and parts.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

• In an efficient manner, use pressure washer to produce a clean quality finish by following chemical guidelines.
• Assist in the preparation process (tacking, masking and hanging parts).
• Works with supervisor to set and maintain weekly wash schedule.
• Complete tests and LOA data to ensure process meets required standards and make adjustments as needed.
• Operate forklift to move around garbage truck assemblies.
• Work with the safety department to ensure safe working conditions relative to the washing process.
• Manage waste materials in compliance with OSHA, EPA and DNR.
• Inspect own work and make corrections if needed. Once finished, complete inspection forms.

OTHER DUTIES

• Good communication.
• Clean and maintain an orderly work area.
• Bi-weekly titration testing.
• Other duties as assigned.
