About the RoleWe are looking for a skilled and motivated Steel Construction Fitter to join our growing team! In this role, you will be a vital part of constructing and assembling steel structures in a variety of settings, including commercial buildings and industrial facilities. You will be responsible for reading blueprints, cutting and shaping steel components, and fitting them together with precision.Responsibilities

• Measure, mark, and cut steel sections using hand tools, power tools, and cutting torches.
• Assemble and fit steel components together using welding, bolting, riveting, or other appropriate methods.
• Verify alignment and accuracy of assembled structures using levels, plumb bobs, and measuring tools.
• Install structural steel members, such as beams, columns, and braces, according to project plans.
• Adhere to strict safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Steel Construction Fitter or a related role.
• Strong knowledge of steel construction techniques and practices.
• Proficiency in using hand and power tools, including grinders, drills, and welding equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Ability to work at heights and in physically demanding conditions.

Preferred Skills

• Formal training or certification in welding or steel fabrication.
• Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and specifications to determine the required materials and work procedures.
• Experience operating lifting equipment and other heavy machinery.

Essential Functions

• Stand, move, bend at a fast pace for up to 12 hours a day.
• Must be able to lift up to 25ibs with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Must be able to exchange accurate information written and orally
