Youth Case Manager

This position leads and supports our case managers working in the Child Welfare field, with a goal of ensuring safety of the children/youth, promoting their wellbeing, and working toward permanence through foster care, family reunification, guardianship, or independence.

About your role:

Our Youth Case meets with the youth and family of minors placed in care by DCFS due to abuse or neglect by caretakers, to create a treatment plan with the ultimate goal of permanency. This role helps identify their individual goals and service needs, coordinates wrap around services in the community, and assesses the client and family progress. This role meets with youth clients 1-3 times a month, family members once a month, and will observe family visitation once a month. You may provide transportation for visits, doctor appointments, or other meetings with the client, legal team, DCFS team, or family. You will be provided regular supportive supervision by the Child Welfare Supervisor to aid in your own professional growth and development.

What we are looking for:

• Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s or Master\'s degree in a Human Service field (Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, etc)
• CWEL licensed, preferred
• Valid Driver\xe2\x80\x99s license (record in good standing) and automobile insurance. Must obtain a valid IL license within 30 days of hire if moving from out of state.
