Job Summary:
As a Youth Life Coach, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of young people. In this contract-based role, you will serve as a mentor and guide, helping youth develop the skills, confidence, and resources they need to achieve their personal and professional goals. Through one-on-one coaching, group activities, and community connections, you will empower young individuals to overcome challenges, explore their interests, and unlock their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide personalized coaching and mentorship to youth, addressing their unique needs and goals
Facilitate engaging group workshops and activities focused on developing life skills, such as time management, problem-solving, and financial literacy
Connect youth with community resources, services, and opportunities that align with their interests and aspirations
Collaborate with a team of social service professionals to ensure a holistic approach to supporting young individuals
Maintain detailed records and progress reports to track the impact of your coaching efforts
Qualifications:
1-2 years of experience working with youth in a mentorship, coaching, or social service capacity
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with young individuals
Knowledge of youth development principles and an understanding of the unique challenges faced by at-risk or disadvantaged youth
Flexibility and adaptability to work with a diverse range of individuals and tailor your approach accordingly
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as social work, psychology, or education (preferred)
Working Conditions:
This is a temporary, contract-based position with a flexible schedule. Some evening and weekend work may be required to accommodate the needs of the youth you serve. The role may involve a mix of in-person and remote work arrangements.
Compensation:
$28 USD per hour
